Learning to Service ASHPs and GSHPs in Class

Using the training rig in the classroom we discussed servicing checklists and commissioning. This was a fantastic addition to our existing technologies @BoltonCollege with our ASHP’s, GSHP’s and Solar Thermal systems already installed for candidates to work on and install.

Learning what all the checks mean and where to find the information out from the servicing check list.

Checking the casing and how to access the inside of the unit for cleaning and inspection.

Discussion with students on next steps and the importance of communication with the client, to check on their thoughts on performance and any issues.

Looking on the interface for information, using the service checklist and searching the interface for information required.

Interface home screen and looking at temperatures for circuits internally and external temperatures.

Checking and adjusting hot water temperatures on the user interface.

Data from user interface in settings.

Using the interface on the mobile unit with the apprentices in the classroom in readiness for them to apply the learning in the afternoon on the units in the workshop.
