In-Centre and On-Site Apprenticeship Training for Low Carbon Heating Technician Standard

Below are a series of short videos covering the delivery and tracking model I will be adopting from September 2024 when covering the #LCHT apprenticeship standard in centre and onsite.

In centre tracking of classroom knowledge covering the topics and KSB’s, how I plan to record the progress of the candidate in centre both formatively and summatively via examinations as the topic progresses and at the end of each topic. Each topic has the KSB’s mapped from the standard.
In centre tracking of workshop skills covering the topics and KSB’s, how I plan to record the progress of the candidate in centre both formatively and summatively via practical training and skills tests as the topic progresses and at the end of each topic. Each topic has the KSB’s mapped from the standard.
Example of a practical training manual to be covered in centre by the apprentices with KSB’s, an overview of some of the training material to be used in centre for practical skills. All activities are mapped to the standard KSB’s.
Classroom delivery examples covering a range of topics (low carbon heating technologies) in centre. Showcase of some of the material that has been developed to meet the low carbon heating technologies. All topics have been developed in a similar fashion and feature formative and summative assessment to meet the KSB’s from the standard.
Further classroom content covering the other topics to meet the duties and KSB’s.
Worklog – onsite evidence to meet the KSB’s and how it is recorded, Onsite recording of evidence to meet the standards KSB’s. The candidate will upload the evidence and this will be checked by the trainer/assessor on the VLE platform pre gateway.
